At Kaleido Roasters, we designed our machines to be versatile and adaptable to your roasting setup. Whether you need to switch from 120V to 220V (or vice versa), the process is straightforward—only two key components need to be changed.
What Needs to Be Changed?
The main control board in the Kaleido roaster is designed to work with either voltage, so no modifications are needed there. Instead, you’ll need to swap out:
1. The Power Plug – To match your voltage and amperage requirements.
2. The Heating Elements – To ensure proper heating performance at the selected voltage.
Choosing the Right Power Plug

For 120V operation: We recommend a 20A-rated power plug (NEMA 5-20P or equivalent).
For 220V operation: We recommend an L6-20 plug (or equivalent locking plug for safety).
Always ensure your power outlet matches the plug configuration and that your electrical circuit can handle the required amperage.
Selecting and Installing the Correct Heating Elements
The heating elements must match your operating voltage. Be sure to select the correct elements based on whether you’re using 110V or 220V power.
Once you have the correct elements, follow our Element Installation Video for step-by-step guidance on swapping them out safely.
Why Convert?
220V Benefits: Faster heat recovery, better efficiency for high-volume roasting.
110V Flexibility: Ideal for smaller setups or locations with limited power options.
